The length of a spray tan completely relies on you and your prep/post care. They should be lasting anywhere between 5-10 days. You must exfoliate the day before to remove all dead skin cells. You must stay very moisturized with the proper aftercare for it to fade evenly and last the full duration. 

100% yes! There are many different shade options. We start by choosing the shade we think would match your skin tone best, and then go from there. We keep a log of your shades so need to remember anything, but If you we need to make changes at the next visit we will know exactly how to adjust it. 

Day 2 is always best! If your event is on Saturday, then Thursday would be your best tan day. Wednesday & Friday would be your second best option. If you are leaving for a trip, then we recommend tanning one day before leaving!

Most certainly. Just keep in mind it takes a tan 24 hours to fully develop. 

Not during the development process, you must have all your bronzer showered off. It's best to wait at least 24 hours after your tan. Keep in mind that working out requires sweating and sweating is exfoliating. Therefore, your tan may come off faster in sweating areas and/or not last as long. 

Yes, but only during the development process when your bronzer is still on and before your instructed shower time. Once your tan is set and showered off, it should last anywhere from 5-10 days (depending on how well you take care of it).

No! A wash cloth or loofa is not considered exfoliating. 

Exfoliating mitts and coffee scrub are sold at Golden Glow. 

If purchasing coffee scrub else where, please be extremely mindful of the ingredients in it as they could act as a barrier to the tanning solution. 

No! At Golden Glow we have highly trained artists. They are trained on the Fitzpatrick scale, undertones and skin tones. We do not have a one color fits all solution and we choose which solution will suit your needs best!

As a fresh mani/pedi should be done the day before your spray tan, your fingernails and toenails will always be covered with barrier cream lotion to ensure no discoloration during your appointment.

Hair nets are provided by Golden Glow.

Golden Glow provides all disposable thongs, bras, nipple pasties, hair nets, hair ties, nose plugs, lip balm, and eye covers. These items are not required but available upon request at no extra fee.

We can't always promise, so to be safe it's always best to wear dark, loose, sleeved clothing. Lay something between you and your sheets (an extra blanket, sheet, towel, ect.) , and bring an extra towel to set on your car seats.

We have water wipes available to wipe off. Due to the ingredients in deodorant and make up we can not always promise that these areas will develop properly, even with being wiped off. Ideally you do not want to wear these to your appointment. 

Everyone exfoliates a different pace, but typically you can come in every 2 weeks. Before you come back, you must use your Golden Glow exfoliating mitt to remove ALL old spray tan before getting another one. You can not tan on top of old tan.
